I was a paraprofessional in the Department of Geology at Colorado College during the 2023-2024 academic year. My primary responsibilities included assisting students during lab sessions, managing field trip logistics, and grading tests and homework.

Frijoles Canyon Overlook in Bandelier National Monument, New Mexico

With an intro class, we stood between the famous unconformity—more precisely, a nonconformity—in Manitou Springs, CO, where the Pikes Peak Granite (~1.03 Ga) is overlain by the Sawatch Sandstone (~500 Ma). Approximately 500 million years are missing due to erosion and nondeposition.

A must-go for our intro students: Garden of the Gods, which is 10 mins away from campus.
